Meet The Doctors
Dr. Celeste Kendrick
Dr. Celeste Kendrick, a general dentist from North Carolina, received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and minor in Business from the University of North Carolina. After graduation, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.
While in college, Dr. Kendrick served as the President of the UNC Operation Smile chapter, a non-profit that provides life-changing surgeries to children with cleft lips and/or cleft palates. She also co-founded and led UNC Exchange for Smiles, a program that sent dental students to Operation Smile Care Centers in Latin America to offer free dental care.
After graduation, Dr. Kendrick practiced dentistry in Northern California before moving to Southern California, where she now resides in San Diego with her partner Max and their dog Bunny. In her free time, they enjoy exploring the dining and sightseeing opportunities in San Diego.

Dr. Shelton Hsu – Orthodontist
Dr. Hsu is an orthodontic specialist who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Loma Linda University here in Southern California. He was then accepted directly into the post-doctoral specialty residency at LLU and completed training for a certificate and a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. For over 20 years, Dr. Hsu has been in private practice working with and caring for children, teens and adults.
Dr. Hsu’s mission in orthodontics is to provide detailed quality care with a gentle touch and help his patients experience the lifetime benefits of healthy straight teeth. Especially with young patients, he makes an intentional effort to listen carefully and assure each child that their questions and concerns matter.
Dr. Hsu keeps up to date with the key developments in modern orthodontics and uses technology to make orthodontic treatment easier for his patients. Whether your case is simple or complex, Dr Hsu will identify the main cause of misalignment and then carefully plan an efficient strategy to straighten your teeth and enhance your smile. The goal is to bring out the best features of your dental and facial structures while building a healthy smile. When appropriate, Dr. Hsu is trained to collaborate with other dental and medical professionals to address broader issues which may include: airway/sleep apnea, myofunctional habits, TMJ symptoms and replacing missing teeth.
Dr. Hsu and his wife have two growing and active children. On his days off you may find him coaching his kid’s basketball team or cruising around one of San Diego’s many world class skateparks.
